Who operates this site

Side Money is operated by [Side Money], a company registered in Romania (see the legal notice for registration details). This site is aimed at visitors in Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and Ghana, and at businesses and individuals elsewhere researching how to pay or receive payment across those countries.

Data protection

We collect as little personal data as possible by design. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-preserving analytics tool that does not track individuals across sites and does not require cookie consent. We do not run advertising trackers by default; if display advertising is enabled on this site, the ad network in use (and any cookies it sets) will be disclosed here and, where legally required, gated behind a consent mechanism. We do not maintain user accounts and do not otherwise collect personal data through this site unless you contact us directly by email or through the advertiser contact form, in which case we use the information only to respond to you.

As a Romania-registered company, we process personal data as controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), regardless of where a visitor is located. Because our audience also includes visitors in Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and Ghana, the following local frameworks may independently apply to data collected from visitors there: Nigeria's Data Protection Act 2023 (which superseded the earlier NDPR), South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019, and Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). Our minimal-data-collection approach is designed to keep our obligations — and your exposure as a visitor — as limited as possible under all of these regimes.
